What clubs and activities did you participate in while you were a student at Blue Hills?
Soccer and Baseball
How did your time at Blue Hills prepare you for what you are doing now?
My time at Blue Hills helped tremendously with my current career. While studying Construction Technology, I learned a lot of the skills and knowledge needed to become a carpenter. The program put me a step ahead of most of the other apprentices because I had already learned how to use a lot of the power tools used in carpentry, how to read prints, and how to layout walls windows and doors.
What advice would you give to BHR students?
My advice would be to ask your shop teacher a lot of questions and really try to learn as much as you can from them. Also, don’t be afraid to make a mistake and do something outside of your comfort zone because that is how you will get better and grow in your trade/program.
