After graduating BHR:
- Began career with Interstate Electrical Companies, completing apprenticeship and working six years as a Journeyman.
- Joined Lentine Electrical Companies for a year.
- Currently with Sullivan & McLaughlin Electrical Companies, part of Local 103 IBEW for 23 years.
- Advanced from Journeyman to General Foreman (GF) and then Project Coordinator.
- Now serves as Coordination Manager and Prefab Manager.
- Committed to continuous learning, regularly updating licenses and certifications (OSHA, CPR).
- Adapted to new technologies, using software like Smart Sheets, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and Revit for scheduling, drawing, and managing projects.
- Helped streamline workflows and improve coordination of design and prefab processes.
- Embracing the shift to digital and virtual technologies in the electrical and construction industries.
Advice to Blue Hills Students
My advice for current students: Focus on more than just the hands-on work—skills like teamwork, communication, and time management are just as vital. Embrace challenges, build strong relationships, and trust in the top-notch education you’re receiving. Remember, lifelong learning is key to long-term success. Blue Hills didn’t just prepare me for a job; it prepared me for a fulfilling career and leadership.
