With the public release of ChatGPT, Artificial Intelligence has quickly emerged as a common topic of discussion across all aspects of society. Education is not exempt from being impacted by AI. As districts, schools and educators begin to grapple with the opportunities and challenges presented by AI, parents of school aged children need to be equally aware and informed of the impact of AI on their child’s education and learning experience. This workshop & presentation is specifically designed for parents to begin the process of exploring, understanding and increasing their collective awareness of AI. From concerns of plagiarism and cheating on school assignments, to understanding how to truly leverage AI to act as a personalized education tutor and thought partner, attendees will develop an increased awareness of both the potential risks and opportunities presented to our youth with AI.
