Blue Hills Regional Technical School Welcomes Two Newly Elected District School Committee Members
Superintendent Jill Rossetti is pleased to announce the election of two new representatives to the Blue Hills Regional Technical School’s District School Committee.
The District School Committee consists of representatives from nine sending communities: Avon, Braintree, Canton, Dedham, Holbrook, Milton, Norwood, Randolph and Westwood. New members are Mark Driscoll, representing the Town of Canton, and Karen Graves, representing the Town of Randolph.
“We would like to welcome our newly elected District School Committee officials,” Superintendent Rossetti said. “I am confident both Karen and Mark will do a great job representing their communities to ensure that all of their constituents’ voices are heard.”
Mark Driscoll, Representing the Town of Canton
Driscoll is a 1987 graduate of Blue Hills Regional Technical School’s Drafting Program.
He currently works as a senior director of enterprise sales at AMC Bridge, Inc., a software development firm in the engineering software market. Driscoll has held numerous other software sales positions. He also worked as an information technology specialist at Sharon High School from 1995-1998, and an adjunct professor at Wentworth Institute of Technology from 1996-1998.
Driscoll has been an active community member in the Town of Canton, volunteering his time with the Blue Hills Foundation Board of Trustees, Blue Hills Advisory Council, Blue Hills Alumni Association, Canton Town Club, Knights of Columbus, and Canton Pop Warner.
Driscoll studied business administration at Boston College and holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Wentworth Institute of Technology.
Karen Graves, Representing the Town of Randolph
Graves works as a music educator and student council coordinator for the Neighborhood House Charter School in Dorchester.
She is also an active member of the American Orff-Schulwerk Association, an educational organization devoted to the creative music and movement approach of composer Carl Orff, and serves on the Executive Board of the Association’s New England Chapter.
Graves holds a master’s degree in music education from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, and a bachelor’s degree in music education from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
Graves’ stepdaughter is a freshman at Blue Hills Regional Technical School.
