Blue Hills Regional Technical School Hosts First Signing Day Event for Graduating Seniors
Superintendent-Director Jill Rossetti and the Blue Hills Regional Technical School are pleased to share that the school held its first Signing Day event at Blue Hills Regional Technical School on Thursday, May 22 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Signing Day celebrates graduating seniors who are signing onto full-time employment with area businesses. Ten students indicated their intention to begin full-time work following graduation by signing an offer letter, surrounded by vocational staff and representatives from their new employers.
Representatives from E.M. Duggan, Florence Electric, Suburban HVAC, Inc., Quirk Ford, Jack Madden Ford, Platinum Electrical Services, Joe Warren & Sons, The Loft at La Novita Salon and McDonald Electrical Corporation participated.
“We are thrilled that our seniors’ hard work has paid off and that their hands-on experiences at Blue Hills will serve them well as they enter their new careers,” said Superintendent Jill Rossetti. “On behalf of the entire Blue Hills Regional Technical community, we wish our graduating seniors the best of luck in their new positions and have no doubt that they will continue to excel in their future career paths.”
Added Kim Poliseno, Co-op Coordinator at Blue Hills, “Our first Signing Day was a complete success and we hope that this will become an annual tradition at Blue Hills. I’m honored to play a part in our student’s paths to career success and look forward to celebrating our next class of graduating seniors as they join the workforce!”
