Class of 2019
My name is Christopher Alcimbert, people call me Chris or Chrissy, and I’m from Randolph. I come from a big family. Coming from a big family taught me so much about responsibility and priorities. I learned how to communicate with others who are very young; it was a blessing. I run track and field. It's an amazing sport that inspires me to try my best every day.
My goals in the future is to become a dermatologist. My top three colleges I would love to attend are University of Pennsylvania, University of Michigan, and Emory University.
What BHR has done for you
Blue Hills has created multiple opportunities, like getting Student of the Month, to get me to my goals in the future.
Why you came to Blue Hills instead of going to your local high school
I came to Blue Hills because I wanted to get into the trade that I wanted, which is Cosmetology, to help with my career goals.
A quotation that inspires you or that you live by
One quote that that I find very inspiring is, “Seek to understand to be understood.” This quote to me means that you have to understand first before someone else can see your point of view.
Best advice you ever received from a teacher/parent/family member/friend
The best advice I have ever received is that “The most alluring thing that a person can have is confidence.” This advice changed my perspective, because you can have the ugliest shoes, but if you’re confident, no one can say anything, because you're rocking it with confidence.
Teacher or faculty member at BHR who has helped or inspired you the most
The teachers who helped me and inspired me are my technical program teachers, Mrs. Martin and Mrs. Lavoie. They have so much faith in me and they show that they care about my success and how I perform. Most of all they are very understanding of everything that happens. They have such good hearts.
Who is your hero
My hero is my mommy. The reason why I say that is because she is a hard-working mother who I want to make proud every day.
Most memorable moment at BHR
The most memorable moment at BHR is when I got State Officer Candidate for SkillsUSA. It was great moment for me.
