Twelve students from Blue Hills Regional Technical School in Canton earned medals at the SkillsUSA District I Conference at Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School on March 3, 2017.
Some of them will go on to compete at the SkillsUSA State Leadership & Skills Conference from April 27-29, 2017 in Marlborough, Mass.
"Congratulations to all of the SkillsUSA students who participated this year," said Blue Hills Regional Principal Jill Rossetti, "and best wishes to those going on to States in April. Special thank you to all the chaperones and adviser."
SkillsUSA is a national organization for vocational students that helps them develop their abilities in their chosen technical area, along with good citizenship, poise, a strong work ethic and an appreciation of individual efforts as well as teamwork. SkillsUSA is known for the competitions it sponsors at the local, district, state and national levels at which students can vie with their peers to receive gold, silver, or bronze medals for achievement in dozens of technical categories.
